• On October 28-29, 2010, we visited classes and gave a seminar at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Kenn delivered the 36th Annual Hefner Lecture (sponsored by the university's Hefner Zoology Museum) on the evening of Oct. 28.
• On October 15-16, 2010, Kenn gave a series of talks at various points in western Connecticut, promoting the conservation value of certified Bird-Friendly coffee.
• On the weekend of September 17-19, 2010, we were heavily involved with the annual banquet celebration of Black Swamp Bird Observatory. The banquet keynote was delivered by famed author Robert Michael Pyle! We also had field trips, and Kenn taught a shorebird ID workshop.
• On the weekend of September 10-12, 2010, we helped to lead field trips and Kenn gave an evening program at the Roan Mountain Naturalists' Rally in eastern Tennessee.
• During the period May 6-16, 2010, we were at the epicenter of a massive birding event called "The Biggest Week In American Birding." It was a blast! We hope to see you at next year's Biggest Week, May 5-15, 2011!
• In late January 2010, we were both speaking, teaching workshops, and leading field trips at the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival at Titusville, Florida.
• On August 8, 2009, Kenn was the keynote speaker at the Southwest Wings Birding and Nature Festival in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
• On July 31 and August 1, our classic-rock band, 6-7-8-OH, played back to back gigs at a beach party at Camp Perry and at Mango Mama's in Port Clinton, Ohio.
• On June 8, Kenn gave a program to the Hampshire Bird Club in Amherst, Massachusetts.
• On June 5, both Kim and Kenn spoke at a brand-new nature festival at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown, New York. A fine way to celebrate the centennial of the great RTP.
• Throughout the month of May, 2009, we were up to our ears in the excitement of the huge spring migration through northwestern Ohio. Magee Marsh / Crane Creek is world famous for its spring warblers, and that's right in the back yard of our home base at the Black Swamp Bird Observatory.
• On May 1, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Kenn delivered the banquet address at the 40th-anniversary convention of the American Birding Association.
• On April 4, Kenn delivered the keynote address at the John Scharff Migratory Bird Festival in Burns, Oregon.
• The weekend of March 20-22, 2009, we were heavily involved in a series of celebrations and events revolving around the Black Swamp Bird Observatory.
• On March 14, 2009, we were at the annual banquet of the Golden Eagle Audubon Society in Boise, Idaho.
• In February 2009, we delivered a keynote address and other presentations at the conference of the Bird Education Network, at Jekyll Island, Georgia.
• In January 2009 we were in Argentina, then the Falklands, South Georgia Island, and the Antarctic Peninsula, leading a trip for Victor Emanuel Nature Tours.
